God sent his own son Jesus to come and live amongst us, to be like us and share in our lives – all of it - the great bits and the sucky bits.

What do you want out of life? Have you ever thought about that? Our church is dedicated to someone whose life only lasted 33 years. He wasn’t married, didn’t have kids, didn’t have a savings account a home or even a paid career. But for millions of people he revolutionised the world. He claimed to be God and to have come so that those who believe in him could have everything life can really offer - to the full.

As a church we try to be all about Jesus and to follow him. But no church is perfect. We’re imperfect people on a journey. Yet we get to join in with Jesus, whose ideas about what a world where he rules are full of endless creativity, out of this world fun, joy unending and no more tears of any kind. This is the Kingdom we pray will come ‘on earth as in heaven’ - God’s rule, in God’s place with God’s people.

Jesus said that God loved the world so much that he gave the world Jesus. Whoever believed in him ‘would not perish but have everlasting life’ and be part of this Kingdom… but it cost God in Jesus everything… maybe you know the story…?

Jesus was incredibly radical in expressing God’s love and therefore he made some folks very uncomfortable.

So despite his amazing teachings, incredible miracles and love for all types of people he was crucified on a cross, dying a humiliating death saved for the worst of criminals.

The story did not end there and amazingly he rose to life again and that was the day when history changed, the day we got to join him on a journey that will go on forever!
