ONE CHURCH | THREE GATHERINGS
We love to gather together as church, and we have three different, but incredible opportunities for you to join in each Sunday.
9.30am
TURNHAM GREEN
A more Traditional Gathering with Holy Communion and organ-led hymns, held at our Turnham Green site. Prayer is available after every 9.30am Gathering, and we’d love to welcome you.
10.30am
6pm
TURNHAM GREEN
An Informal Gathering with Extended Worship, Teaching and Prayer Ministry, held in our Turnham Green site. This Gathering is regularly attended and led by our Young Adult community. Often followed by a trip to the local pub!
Youth gather beforehand at 5pm (ages 14-18).
FAQs
-
Come in your casual clothes and you will fit right in.
-
Each of our Gatherings vary in how long they last. For our two morning Gatherings (9.30 & 10.30am), you can expect to be there for between 1-1.5 hours. Our Evening Gathering can extend beyond that in worship and prayer ministry, but you are welcome to come and go as you please to any of our Gatherings.

You don’t ‘have’ to do anything if you are visiting – so we won’t mind if you'd rather just listen! Many of us love to express ourselves to God through songs, and we love to worship, and place a high value on it here at Christ Church W4. Words are provided on screen, and you are encouraged to sing along if you feel comfortable.
-
We have collection points towards the back of all our sites. This is an opportunity for our regular congregation members to give financially to the church in worship to God. If you are new or a visitor to Christ Church W4 please know that you are not expected to give.
-
As well as songs, there will be prayers to listen to and join in with (either aloud or silently), a talk about some aspect of the Bible or Christian living, and an opportunity, if you wish, to come and be prayed for - many people are healed physically or emotionally by God when they ask for a brief one-to-one prayer with someone during or after the gathering.
-
All our sites are wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilet facilities. We have a hearing loop connected to our sound system at Turnham Green and Acton Green.
-
Holy Communion involves the sharing of bread and wine. Throughout the month our gatherings will include an opportunity to participate in "Holy Communion”. During Communion, bread and wine are given as symbols to remind us of God's incredible love and care for us, shown in the life and death of his son Jesus. You are welcome to take part if you are a baptised Christian from any church. Otherwise feel free to watch, or to come forward for a blessing.
-
We usually stand to sing (or pray at times), and sit at other moments within our gathering, unless the gathering leader says to do something different. You can kneel when you pray, but you don't have to. If in doubt, follow everyone else - that's what we do if we're not sure!
-
Absolutely. Come along just to see what it's like; you will not be bludgeoned into saying things you don't mean or into making any commitment you're not ready for. If you want to discuss faith in more depth, consider coming on a free Alpha Course; these run at intervals throughout the year.
