Christ Church W4 is dedicated to Jesus, someone whose life only lasted 33 years, and whose ministry only lasted 3 – but for millions of people He revolutionised the world. He claimed to be God and to have come so that those who believe in Him could have life to the full.
AS A CHURCH WE
SEEK TO BE WITH
JESUS,
BE LIKE HIM,
AND DO THE THINGS HE DID.
We aren’t perfect, yet we get to join in with Jesus, who talked about a Kingdom that is full of endless creativity, unending joy, and no more pain. This is the Kingdom we pray will come ‘on earth as in heaven’ - God’s rule, in God’s place with God’s people.
God loved the world so much that He gave the world Jesus. Whoever believes in Him ‘would not perish but have everlasting life’ and be part of this Kingdom, but it cost God everything.
Here’s the story:
GOD SENT HIS OWN SON JESUS
to come and live amongst us, to be like us and share in our lives – all of it - the good, bad, and ugly.
JESUS WAS INCREDIBLY RADICAL IN EXPRESSING GOD’S LOVE
and therefore He made some people very uncomfortable.
HE WAS CRUCIFIED ON A CROSS,
So, despite His amazing teachings, incredible miracles and love for all types of people, he died a humiliating death saved for the worst of criminals.
The story did not end there – this was the day when history changed, the day we got to join him on a journey that will go on forever!
HE ROSE TO LIFE AGAIN!
