The Shelter Project Hounslow wins Queen's Award

We would like to thank all of you who have helped with the Shelter Project at Christ Church W4 and share this wonderful news with you all.

“I am delighted to let you that The Shelter Project Hounslow has won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for 2017. This is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work in their communities. It is the MBE for voluntary groups. The awards were created in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and winners are announced each year on the anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation.

This award has been made possible by all the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.  I would like to give thanks and pay tribute to all who have worked together to provide a friendly and caring atmosphere; welcoming our guests, giving them respect and dignity as well as food and a bed.”
