Prayer lies at the heart of our relationship with God and so it is also
at the heart of all that we do as a church community.
Prayer is just speaking to God. And yet there is no ‘just’ about it: we pray not on our own, but in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We also pray alongside Christians throughout the ages and around the world. Such prayer acknowledges the just and gentle rule of God over every situation, and is used by God to bring his love to the world.
We would love to encourage you to get involved in prayer in the life of this church. Here are the key ways you can do that:
10th–20th May: Get involved in 'Thy Kingdom Come'
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. We’d love you to join us in this when you can, using the daily prayer focus and join us for gathered times of prayer, especially our worship and prayer night on Thursday 17th May, worship from 7pm at Christ Church Turnham Green.
CHURCH PRAYER TIMES
We can pray as individuals wherever we are and at any time, of course, but we gather together for encouragement too.
These prayer times are all open to anyone, so if you’re around, whether as a one-off or on a regular basis, please come and join us. You will be very welcome!

SAY DAILY PRAYER
We place a high value on coming together to pray but we believe that individual prayer is the foundation of our relationship with God.
One of the ways you can do this is by using prayers provided by the Church of England. We can pray in many different ways and at different times but these prayers give a wonderful way to join in with the church community worldwide.
God has put us together in the family of the Church to help and support each other, and one of the ways we do this is through prayer. We believe passionately in the power of prayer and that God wants us to draw alongside others who have a need, whether that is for physical or emotional healing, for guidance or for anything else.
There is prayer available at the end of each Sunday service. Speak to someone wearing a Prayer Ministry Team badge; they will be happy to pray with you then or arrange a suitable time and place.
If you’d like to make a prayer appointment outside of the services with one of the team or clergy please fill in the form below and we will be in touch shortly.

The Ascension CHapel - st. alban's
Ascension Chapel is a wayside chapel, a special place of prayer for all the church and community. Our vision is to create a prayer space where the members of our church community can book hour slots to pray for their individual lives, missions, social justice, our community as a whole and anything else God has laid on our hearts. Watch this space!
We have joined the vision of 24-7 prayer, a ministry founded by Pete Greig which has spread worldwide over the past decade.
On Sunday evenings we run Soak, a space to be still, listen to God, with intercession and prayer for God's Kingdom to come in our community that begins with lifting the name of Jesus high and pursuing His presence through worship. These nights are agenda free where we allow the Spirit to lead us as we move through the evening.

Where: Turnham Green
Need to find a peaceful place during your day to seek God? We open our Turnham Green site throughout the week to give space to those who need it.
